All students will have access to a quality, community-based education.

Before children find success, they must utilize the power of education. Before children can focus on education, they must build hope, dignity and strength within themselves. Before children can feel empowered, they must be seen, heard and understood. At FLA, students adhere to our community expectations: Take Care of Ourselves, Take Care of Each Other, and Take Care of Our Space.

In 2019, the Fostering Leadership Academy was officially authorized through Grand Valley State University. Our proud partnership is a testament to the long-standing need for community-based education in the Metro Detroit area.
